From 9/15-18,about 200 members of ADAPT, a nation disabilities rights movement, gathered in Washington D.C. to voice their concern about the severe lack of affordable, accessible housing. They pitched a tent city outside of H.U.D. headquarters for three nights. They marched to the Senate offices, encountering Senator Selby of Alabama and were arrested. They caravaned to the headquarters of candidate Senator John McCain to question why he was not supporting housing legistion related to the above stated issues, as candidate Obama had done.
